Michelle Williams will star as the fragile actress, and Kenneth Branagh will play Larry Olivier. Also featured is Julia Ormand as Vivian Leigh; and Dougray Scott will appear as author Arthur Miller, who was Monroe’s new husband. Emma Watson and Judi Dench co-star in juicy roles.
My Week with Marilyn is based on Colin Clark’s The Prince, The Showgirl and Me and My Week with Marilyn; two diary accounts exploring his time on the set. The trailer for the film was introduced recently at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
My Week with Marilyn will have its world premiere at the 2011 New York Film Festival on October 9th, before being released in the U.S. on November 4th. This is dramatic cinema that has Oscar written all over it…
