 James Bond Bingo

The most popular British spy and the UK’s favorite game in one card!

When we talk about iconic film franchises, the first thing that pops to mind is James Bond. The series of 007 spy films made its mark from its first installment (Dr. No in 1962) up to the last (Skyfall in 2012), delivering unpredictable plots and exciting action sequences. The character is well-loved by audiences worldwide, especially in the UK. If you remember, the Queen was a part of the Skyfall promotion in last year’s London Olympics. According to the latest reports, it’s the second highest grossing motion picture series, next to Harry Potter.

The fan base of the 007 series spans generations, so it’s only a matter of time before someone comes up with various ways of appreciating the films, such as through James Bond Bingo. The combination of Bond cinema and bingo is inevitable. It’s the favorite pastime in the UK, as evidenced in the number of bingo halls like London Palace, the fastest-growing network of bingo clubs around the UK; and the increasing online gamers of FoxyBingo.com. Film buffs have incorporated 007 into the game. The excitement of a James Bond movie marathon, plus the thrill of completing a row on your bingo card is a double whammy. Just for the heck of it, don’t just shout bingo when you’re done Bond Bingo sounds much better.

A 007 fanatic put together items which should be included in your James Bond bingo card. Suggestions from Purple 13: a panoramic view of London, a new spy gadget, exterior shot of an exotic location, dinner in a fancy restaurant, and a very obvious product sales pitch. And, special appearances of important characters in the movie should also be noted, like M and Q, or a cameo by Michael Wilson, who is co-producer of the James Bond movies. Some interesting 007 scenes should also be included, like the following: Bond drives a sports car, Bond attempts a daring escape, Bond kisses a beautiful woman, and Bond kills a bad guy.

This is a fascinating trend that has shaken-not-stirred the gaming community, worldwide!
